Diversified General Contracting LLC is a company that will not settle for anything other than quality. We understand that the quality of craftsmanship and material stands out. 

I (Joe) was raised in the construction industry. My grandfather and my own father were two of the greatest men to learn from, especially regarding work ethic and craftsmanship. Diversified General Contracting has so much history from before it had a name. I spent years in the residential end working for my father’s company when he was a home builder. After years of that, I met some really good people who got me tied into the commercial industry. I worked for a company that built very large buildings in the Pittsburgh area. 

After years of hard work and doing whatever it took, I entered the industrial world, which changed me and opened a whole new way of thinking. I worked for a company that built pump stations, handled extensive pipe work, heavy excavation, and concrete. The men I worked alongside were some of the best I’ve ever known—so much respect for them. This experience also taught me how to run an efficient site crew.

So, with the little bit of history you learn from this, know that quality is a must, and our prices always stay competitive. If you see a subcontractor on one of our jobs, keep in mind there is a history with them of probably about 25 years. I personally know the owners of the business and respect them. In the prices come lots of experience and time involved to build what Diversified General Contracting is today. 

When it comes to the equipment, I buy or rent the best. I’m always looking at new equipment to make the job better for the money. You can’t buy junk equipment and expect a good product and end result. I didn’t build a company based on a good idea. I was born into it.
